COL. FORREST A. MENDENHALL, CAI, AARE   High Point, NC
Col. Mendenhall, President of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, has been an active auctioneer since 1953. Col. Mendenhall has traveled thousands of miles conducting auctions of many types in many states. He is a dedicated, professional auctioneer who is happy to pass his vast knowledge of the auction profession to the new auctioneer.

Col. Mendenhall was educated at the North Carolina State University at Raleigh and High Point University. He is a Life Member of the National Auctioneers Association, Auctioneers Association of North Carolina, National Auto Auction Association and Southern Auto Auction Association.

He served on the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association. He was inducted into the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina Hall of Fame in 1987.  He was a Grand Champion of North Carolina Auctioneers in 1992 and 1993. He was inducted into the National Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 1995. He is a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute and is a licensed auctioneer in several states.  
Col. Mendenhall co-founded the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in 1962. He was also Co-Founder, President and General Manager of a major auto auction, which grew to be the largest in the Southeast. He sold the auto auction in 1970 and continued until 1975 as General Manager and Auctioneer. In 1991 he built the Mendenhall Auto Auction, located at the rear of the school's property. The Auto Auction, which his son Wayne now manages, currently operates twice weekly, on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. 

Col. Mendenhall attends many seminars and auctioneers conventions each year throughout America. He is able to pass the valuable information he gains to the students that attend the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. He takes a personal interest in the training of students as well as alumni. He will be with you every day during each session and will be happy to render assistance after graduation.  
COL. WAYNE MENDENHALL, CAI  High Point, NC

Col. Wayne Mendenhall has been an auctioneer since 1983. He conducts business liquidations, estate auctions, and many fund raising auctions each year. He is a Mendenhall graduate and attended the North Carolina State University at Raleigh and the Certified Auctioneers Institute at the University of Indiana. He is the Vice President and Manager of the Mendenhall Auto Auction. He was the NC State Grand Champion Auctioneer in 1997, past President of the NCAA and the NAPAA and was also the recipient of the NCAA's Hall of Fame Award in 2006.
KIM HAGEN, CAI, AARE  Carrollton, GA
Kim Hagen is President/CEO of Hagen Auction Co. Inc., which is a regional real estate auction firm licensed in nine southeastern states. He holds the CAI designation, AARE designation and has a BS degree in Real Estate.  Kim's firm specializes in marketing agricultural development and commercial properties at public auctions. He is widely known for his detailed, high-tech marketing plans, which address the highest and best use of Internet advertising.
TOM WALKER

 

Mr. Walker is an instructor with the Dale Carnegie Institute in Charleston South Carolina. He is also a Graduate of Baylor School in Chattanooga Tennessee, of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Majoring in Industrial Management. Tom has been an instructor with the Dale Carnegie Institute for approximately eight years and is very effective with instructing Communication Skills. 

COL. CHARLES CARLSON  Statesville, NC
Col. Carlson graduated from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in May 1990.  He is currently working at several car & truck auctions each week, is involved with livestock and also works as a ring man.
COL. MARCY GOLDRING, CAI  Farmington, IL

Col. Marcy Goldring has been an auctioneer since 1980. She is an Illinois State Champion Auctioneer and the first winner of the Ladies' Division International Auctioneers Championship (1994). She has served on the Board of Directors of the CAI and was elected to the Board of Directors of the NAA in 1995. Marcy has over 25 years in the business. She is one of the best and has more credentials than most any Lady in the world.
RICKIE PARKS  Asheboro, NC
Mr. Parks graduated from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in August 1992. He is currently working as an auctioneer at several weekly auto auctions. He is the 2002 NC State Champion Auctioneer. He is a hard selling auctioneer and has a lot to offer the new incoming auctioneers.
COL. FRED REGER, CAI, GPPA  Manassas, VA
Col. Reger has a Master of Science in Education from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering (1978). He is responsible for auctioning sales, displays, publicity, ad layout and appraisals, plus over 25 charity auctions per year. He also does many city and county surplus equipment auctions and large quantities of antique auctions. 
JANE CHAMBLISS, MA, CAI, AARE, CES, GPPA-M  Annapolis, Maryland
Jane is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, the Auctioneers Association of Maryland and past president.  Also a frequent seminar presenter for the National Auctioneers Association and many other businesses nation-wide.  Jane is the creator of  the (GPPA) Graduate Personal Property Appraiser for the NAA. Also a graduate of Strayer University, Washington, D.C. and earned a master of arts degree at Morgan State University. She has also taught many Personal Property classes for the NAA. Mendenhall is proud to have her as an instructor to help new incoming auctioneers
COL. TOMMY MARTINDALE  Robbins, NC
Col. Tommy Martindale is a well- respected and outstanding auctioneer. He specializes in livestock and car & truck auctions. A 1983 Mendenhall School of Auctioneering graduate, he currently conducts 5 car & truck auctions each week and does special feeder calf auctions each year. Col. Martindale is a Vietnam Veteran and a fluent bid-caller, he was the 1991 NC Reserve Champion Auctioneer. 
STEVE PROFFITT III, ATTORNEY  Gadsden, AL
Steve is the Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel with J. P. King Auction Company, Inc.

With training as both an attorney and an auctioneer, he is uniquely qualified to address the many legal complexities of the real estate auction business. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, he has practiced for 26 years with an emphasis on auctions, contracts, commercial law, litigation, and torts.

Mr. Proffitt also has a long track record of service to the auction industry as a noted writer and lecturer. He has taught seminars in 25 states and Canada and teaches our legal classes at the school. He is a recipient of the  President’s Award of Distinction from the National Auctioneers Association and he has been interviewed by numerous media outlets about legal and ethical issues relating to auctions.

COL. DAN WILLIAMS  Boone, NC
Col. Williams is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he obtained his BSBA in Business Management.  He has been an auctioneer since 1969.  The winner of the 1982 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship.  Dan conducts general auctions on the weekends and is an automobile auctioneer at several major auto auctions. 
KRIS KENNEDY
Kris Kennedy is a Graduate of Florida State University in the field of  ISO 9001 Auditor, AutoCAD programming, and Microsoft Office Suite, 1993-1997.  Now teaches seminars on Auction Flex, an auction software.  Also, teaches general technology in the auction field. We are excited to have Kris as a technology instructor here at Mendenhall School of Auctioneering.
